Agricultural practices such as pesticide use, phosphorus runoff from livestock farming, and manure applications for crops like soy and corn can severely impact our rivers.   Through our partnership with Arbre Evolution’s Riverbank Carbon Program, we sponsor the planting of riparian buffer strips—natural, vegetated barriers along riverbanks—in agricultural areas throughout Quebec. These initiatives directly support local farmers by providing financial compensation for their valuable environmental stewardship.
